Marvel Rivals is a 6v6 hero shooter, and most of what goes wrong in a random lobby goes wrong at the character-select screen: five instalocked Duelists, nobody on Strategist, and a Vanguard who swaps off tank the moment the first fight is lost. Solo queue does not fix that. A squad that agreed on roles before the match does.
